The Labour Court awarded Robert Pirsz €800 after allowing his appeal over written information about rest periods and breaks. The decision, signed on 29 November 2024, found that Ryanair Designated Activity Company’s contract and examined rosters did not include the required details.
Pirsz, a ground handling agent based at Dublin Airport, argued that his written terms omitted the times of his rest periods and breaks. Ryanair said its advance written rosters supplied the information and argued alternatively that it was exempt from the relevant working-time requirements. The Court did not decide the exemption question.
