The Labour Court awarded Lucian Liviu Ionut €2,200 after allowing his appeal over missing written employment terms. The decision is dated 16 February 2024. The Court set aside the Adjudication Officer's decision and found that Vladimir Vecerin Pepito Trade had breached Section 3 of the Terms of Employment (Information) Act. Ionut said he had not received a written statement of his employment terms, and the employer accepted that none had been provided. The Court said compensation was capped at four weeks' pay. Ionut was paid €550 a week, and the Court awarded the maximum, equivalent to four weeks' remuneration. It considered the extent of the employer's non-compliance when assessing compensation.
