The Labour Court upheld the finding that Yvonne Devlin was not entitled to a redundancy payment after her dismissal by Woodies Diy Limited. Its decision was dated 18 January 2023. Woodies had moved its E-store section from Tallaght to Drogheda and offered Devlin the option of transferring with the work or taking another role in Tallaght. The Court said she was not made redundant and that the redundancy legislation did not apply. Devlin appealed the Adjudication Officer’s decision on her redundancy complaint. The Court upheld that decision.
