WRC does not uphold nurse’s complaint after she resigned before grievance process

The WRC did not uphold a nurse’s industrial relations complaint after she resigned from a private hospital before an agreed internal process had run its course. The recommendation was dated 18 January 2023. The adjudicator found that a May 2021 meeting had been handled poorly and that the nurse had good reason to be upset, but concluded that she was obliged to continue with the grievance process agreed with the hospital’s HR director. A separate constructive dismissal complaint was addressed in another decision.
