The Labour Court overturned a €6,000 award to former sales manager Laura Dennison after finding she was not entitled to a bonus. The Court upheld G Holland Ltd T/A Holland TCS’s appeal in a determination dated 28 February 2020.
Dennison had claimed €13,885.25 in unpaid bonuses for July 2017 to June 2018, saying the payment was due under her contract. The company argued that sales targets had not been met and that the claim was out of time.
The Court found that sales were €147,000 below target, so no bonus was due. It did not need to decide whether the claim was out of time.
