The Labour Court determined that Pauline Gibson and John Farrell, trading as Camden Hall Hostel, must pay former employee Juris Lieknins €6,196.98 in wage arrears and €1,500 in expenses. The determination was signed on 30 April 2014. Lieknins complained under the National Minimum Wage Act after the operators failed to carry out a Rights Commissioner’s decision and did not appeal it within the time limit. The Court determined that the employer must pay the amounts in accordance with that decision.
