The Labour Court allowed Jakub Raczyk’s appeal against a Rights Commissioner decision and awarded him €1,689.75 in minimum-wage arrears. The determination was signed on 9 December 2013. Raczyk said he worked an average of 50 hours a week for Robeplan Fitted Furniture Limited (in Liquidation) and claimed €2,405 in arrears. Records showed he worked the hours claimed, but the Court considered it likely he took a 30-minute unpaid meal break each day. After adjusting the calculation, it found €1,689.75 was due for 26 weeks in 2010 and eight weeks in 2011 when he was paid below the minimum rate.
