The Labour Court recommended that Go Safe Road Safety Operations Ireland not grant 16 Monitoring Operators represented by SIPTU additional increases of 1.5% for 2023 and 2% for 2024. The recommendation was signed on 9 July 2024. The workers sought the increases on top of a 6.5% pay deal already agreed through the company’s Employee Forum: 3.5% from 1 January 2023 and 3% from 1 January 2024. They cited cost-of-living pressures and the minimum-wage differential. The Court found the claim without merit and did not recommend conceding it.
