The Labour Court recommended a €3,000 lead-in payment for each affected employee at Yves Rocher Manufacturing (Ireland), paid in two equal phases, and a revised exit package of 5.5 weeks’ pay per year of service inclusive of statutory terms. The recommendation was signed on 26 July 2010. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the company were in dispute over restructuring at the Cork plant, including rosters, hours and production arrangements. The Court recommended accepting the proposed changes subject to joint monitoring every three months for two years and negotiation of compensation if earnings fell. It also recommended accepting the company’s annual performance-bonus offer and made no recommendation to change Saturday working arrangements.
