The Labour Court recommended that the Health Service Executive and the Technical, Engineering and Electrical Union discuss national on-call arrangements with all the Local Authority Craft Group of Unions. The Court said it was not practical or desirable for the HSE to negotiate with one union on an issue affecting all craft workers, and said any talks should remain within the Public Service Agreement 2010–2014. The recommendation was signed on 27 July 2010.
