The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for a service-pay scheme at Heritage Knitwear. The recommendation was signed on 8 November 2004. The Court said the claim breached the pay provisions of Sustaining Progress. It said the union could discuss locally the company’s offer to pay the value of existing service gifts in cash.
