In 2004, the Labour Court recommended that Teagasc concede Amicus - MSF's claim for a 50:50 balance between higher-grade and lower-grade research posts. The recommendation was signed on 8 November 2004. The Court found that Teagasc had committed to the 50:50 ratio as part of settling an earlier industrial relations dispute. It said failing to fulfil that commitment would be unreasonable and contrary to good practice.
