The Labour Court recommended a £250 lump sum for a worker at Gypsum Industries’ Knocknacran Mine after he was not told about an impending team-leader appointment. The recommendation was signed on 10 December 2001. The Court found no discrimination in how the appointment was made but said the lack of notice had caused him stress. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union also sought payments for nine workers who operated two-way radios. The Court did not recommend payment for radio use.
