Labour Court rejects union claim for higher Abbott Ireland shift premiums

The Labour Court did not recommend granting the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s claim for higher shift premiums at Abbott Ireland. The recommendation was signed on 13 November 2001. The union sought to raise fixed night-shift premiums from 25% to 30% and evening-shift premiums from 16.6% to 20%. The Court considered the parties’ submissions and did not recommend conceding the claim.
