The Labour Court found that Leixlip House Hotel unfairly dismissed a senior barman and recommended £1,000 compensation in full and final settlement of claims arising from the dismissal, in a recommendation dated 20 July 2000. The Court said he received no adequate or fair warnings and was not told the nature or source of the customer complaint that led to his dismissal. It also found the hotel failed to follow the Code of Practice on Disciplinary Procedures.
