In 2000, the Labour Court did not recommend the National Union Of Sheet Metal Workers Of Ireland's claim for higher rates at Hastie Insulations Ireland Limited. The recommendation was dated 20 July 2000. The union sought parity with rates in a June 1999 agreement with the Sheetmetal Manufacturers Association. The Court said the Registered Employment Agreement for the Construction Industry covered the company and its employees, and that the SMA agreement's terms did not apply.
