The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the National Bus Workers' Union’s claim for compensation for four Coras Iompair Eireann drivers who lost earnings after bus duty boards changed. The recommendation was signed on 17 December 1987. The Court considered the changes for three drivers minor and prompted by customer demand, and noted that later revisions had more than restored two drivers’ earnings. For the fourth driver, it noted that the revised board followed a loss of business and also did not recommend compensation.
