Labour Court does not recommend union’s redundancy claim against Udaras Na Gaeltachta

The Labour Court did not recommend conceding the Association of Scientific Technical and Managerial Staffs’ claim against Udaras Na Gaeltachta for enhanced redundancy and service buy-out terms for 20 employees. The recommendation was signed on 21 November 1986. The claim sought terms at least as favourable as those paid to employees who left in 1985. The Court considered that the 1985 agreement had been honoured and that the union had exercised its reserved right to bring a claim.
