The Labour Court overturned a €3,500 award to Chris Murray after Coolebridge Ltd’s appeal, finding he had not established race discrimination. The determination was dated 16 September 2024.
Murray had complained under the Employment Equality Acts. At the hearing, he said he could not identify a comparator or acts of discrimination linked to race during the relevant period. The Court found he had identified neither a race-linked act nor a comparator, so the complaint failed. It set aside the Adjudication Officer’s decision and award.
