The Labour Court dismissed Ms Claire Conlon’s appeal over alleged unpaid Sunday work, upholding the finding that her complaint was out of time. The merits were not decided. In a decision dated 9 April 2024, the Court said the claim could not reach back before 18 August 2019, by which time she had been away from work for four continuous months. The company argued that the complaint was out of time because Ms Conlon had not attended work after 11 April 2019. She told the Court she had not sought an extension before the Adjudication Officer. The Court upheld that decision and dismissed the appeal.
