The Labour Court refused Staffline Recruitment Limited an extension to appeal an Adjudication Officer decision in Anna Zawadzka’s favour, leaving that decision in place. The Court said Staffline’s failure to update the WRC with its new business address and its six-month mail forwarding arrangement did not justify more time.
Staffline said it had not received notice of the resumed hearing or the decision after changing address. The Court found it had not taken basic steps to notify the WRC of the change and had been remiss in limiting mail forwarding to six months. The determination was signed on 21 November 2018. The Court did not decide the merits of Staffline’s appeal.
