The Labour Court recommended an amended pay deal for 42 general operatives at Donoghue Drinks Company after the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought a 10% increase over three years. The recommendation was signed on 20 November 2018. The company had offered 8% over three years, citing financial difficulties after the 2008 global financial crisis. The union said its members had received no pay increases since 2009 and that case volumes and shift work had increased. The Court recommended increases of 2½%, 2½% and 3% across a 30-month period, and recommended that both parties accept the amended offer in full and final settlement.
