WRC declines to hear Eir Evo wages complaint after refusing respondent change

The Workplace Relations Commission refused Martins Okuonghae’s request to replace Eir Evo Technologies Limited T/A Eir Evo with Hibernia Services Limited T/A Eir Evo as respondent, finding it had no jurisdiction over his Payment of Wages Act complaint. The decision was dated 20 August 2026. The WRC found that Hibernia Services Limited was the employer under Okuonghae’s contract and that Eir Evo Technologies Limited was a separate legal entity. It said it had no statutory power to substitute one entity for another. No decision was made on the substance of the wages complaint, and no award was recorded.
