The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Jack Buttimer’s final-wages complaint against Irish Pneumatic Services after neither side attended the hearing. The decision, dated 21 August 2026, said the officer could not hear evidence and dismissed the complaint under a provision allowing dismissal of frivolous or vexatious cases. The wage allegation was not decided on its merits. Buttimer said he was owed final wages, including about three hours of overtime, and sought reimbursement of a taxi expense and outstanding payslips. The company disputed liability and said it had paid a final balance of €92.94. The officer noted that this account had not been countered in evidence.
