The Workplace Relations Commission has dismissed Warren Boles’s complaint that Aldi Stores (Ireland) Limited penalised him for pursuing an earlier WRC complaint. The decision was dated 17 September 2026. Boles alleged retaliation in the handling of a workplace accident, the processing of two public holidays, his assignment to ICT duties and a threat concerning employment benefits. Aldi said the events were ordinary workplace matters, including cross-training and an administrative error. The adjudication officer found no causal link between the earlier complaint and the alleged treatment.
