The Workplace Relations Commission has ordered Cavan Box Limited to pay Niall O'Reilly €10,000 compensation after finding the company failed to establish and document the KPI process for his contractual bonus. The decision was dated 6 August 2026.
O'Reilly, a Maintenance Manager, said his contract provided for a €20,000 bonus over a 12-month period, but he received no KPI details or payment. Cavan Box argued that no bonus was properly payable because its terms had not been agreed and its scheme depended on company and individual performance.
