WRC dismisses Padraig Cotter’s employment terms complaint as out of time

The WRC dismissed Padraig Cotter’s complaint against Trabolgan Holiday Centre Ltd under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994 as out of time, with no award recorded. Adjudication Officer Thomas O'Driscoll dated the decision 8 June 2026. Cotter said he did not receive written terms when he began work as a security officer in 2022. The company accepted it had not issued terms at the outset but said it provided him with a contract on 31 December 2023. The officer treated that date as the relevant contravention date; Cotter filed the complaint on 14 August 2025, beyond the maximum 12-month limit. The officer did not decide the underlying allegation.
