The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) rejected Padraig Cotter’s complaint that Trabolgan Holiday Centre Ltd penalised him after an anonymous protected disclosure to the Private Security Authority (PSA) about alleged unregulated security services. The decision, dated 8 June 2026, found the complaint not well founded.
Cotter said a roughly three-month suspension on full pay and damage to his personal equipment were linked to the disclosure. The company said the suspension was an operational measure following a contractor’s complaint and denied responsibility for the equipment damage. The adjudication officer found the decision-makers did not know of the disclosure, no disciplinary sanction followed, and there was no evidence connecting the equipment damage to the disclosure.
