WRC rules it cannot hear job applicant’s terms complaint against recruiter

The WRC ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear Youssef Boutahri’s complaint against The Broadline Recruitment Group trading as Burren Amber Recruiters. He said the job’s terms differed from what the recruiter had outlined and alleged misrepresentation. The company said it was not his employer and he had signed a contract with another employer. The adjudication officer found there was no employment relationship and said the Act did not provide for investigating misrepresentation complaints.
