WRC rejects five complaints after complainant misses hearing

The Workplace Relations Commission found five complaints by Ryan Heapes against Principal Facilities Limited Principal Construction / Principal Contractors not well-founded after he did not attend a hearing. The decision was dated 26 February 2026. Heapes’s solicitor attended and said he was out of the country. The respondent opposed postponement. Adjudication Officer Pat Brady found Heapes had notice, had not applied to attend remotely or by hybrid hearing, and gave no acceptable explanation for his absence. The complaints concerned equality, protected disclosures, unfair dismissal, workplace safety and wages. No award was recorded.
