The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Krzysztof Bonarek €11,200 for financial loss after finding Sean Doyle Windows Ltd. unfairly dismissed him and penalised him for raising concerns about the company van’s brakes. Adjudication Officer Davnet O'Driscoll dated the decision 20 May 2026.
The company said the employment ended over performance and reliability concerns and reduced work, and denied that it was linked to Bonarek’s safety complaints. The adjudicator also upheld his complaints over missing written employment terms and unpaid notice, directing €1,600 compensation for the terms breach, plus €800 notice pay and €662 compensation under the Payment of Wages Act.
