The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) rejected Mairead Buckley’s complaint against Hse over deductions from her wages to recover an overpayment and a two-year deferral of increments. The decision was dated 16 January 2026. Buckley said her signed contract placed her on the sixth point of the Grade VI scale at €57,337 and that she was paid accordingly. Hse said an administrative error meant the correct rate was €55,365, the fifth point. The adjudication officer found the contractual rate was not properly payable, the recovery deductions were valid and the increment deferral did not breach the Act. No award was recorded.
