The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Claudia Tanase’s race discrimination complaint against Carlton Entertainment Group, finding her casino entry refusal was because she was not there to use its services. The decision was dated 13 November 2025.
Tanase said casino staff refused her entry because of her clothing. Carlton Entertainment Group said she was turned away because she wanted to find her husband rather than use the casino’s services, and denied discrimination. The adjudication officer found Tanase had gone to locate her husband and that the facts did not raise a presumption of discrimination.
