WRC closes worker’s severance-agreement dispute without further action

A WRC adjudication officer recommended that a worker and a technology company take no further action in a dispute over a severance agreement. The recommendation was dated 12 November 2025. The worker said she had been misled about the payment and sought to renegotiate it. The company said the signed agreement provided one week’s notice pay and four additional weeks’ pay and settled all claims. The officer found that the agreement covered claims under the Industrial Relations Acts and gave the worker two weeks to consider it. The company had offered up to €400 towards legal advice as part of the agreement. The officer recommended that the parties take no further action and consider the matter closed.
