The Workplace Relations Commission found Khirfa Ziwawo Sifa’s complaints against Tjx Ireland Unlimited Company not well founded. In a decision dated 4 September 2025, it rejected claims of discriminatory dismissal and harassment related to skin colour, along with a complaint under the Protection of Employees (Part-Time Work) Act 2001. Sifa said he received fewer training and promotion opportunities than other staff. TJX denied the claims. The adjudication officer found he had not established the alleged differences in treatment, and accepted the Store Manager’s account on shifts, training and promotion. The harassment claim also lacked evidence of a comparator treated differently in similar circumstances.
