WRC recommends €3,000 and new workplace procedures

The WRC recommended €3,000 compensation and new grievance and bullying procedures after finding an employer lacked an understanding of them. In a recommendation dated 3 September 2025, adjudication officer Conor Stokes also called for staff training on both procedures. The worker said the employer did not follow its grievance timetable and raised a bullying and harassment complaint. The employer declined to take part in the Industrial Relations hearing. The worker confirmed she had not used the procedures in the employee handbook. Stokes said the worker, HR staff and managers appeared not to understand how the procedures worked.
