The Workplace Relations Commission upheld Michelle Coyle’s redundancy and minimum-notice complaints against Abtran, directing a redundancy payment based on her continuous service with Abtran and its predecessor, and six weeks’ statutory notice pay. Adjudication Officer Pat Brady’s decision was dated 8 September 2025. Coyle said Abtran offered her either shift work in her existing back-office role or a call-centre role with daytime hours. Abtran argued that work was available and that Coyle had resigned. The WRC found neither option was reasonable alternative employment and that her position was redundant.
