WRC dismisses six complaints after worker misses hearing

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed all six complaints brought by Csaba Ilonczai against Walton Capital Limited T/A The Ivy Restaurant after he did not attend the hearing. The decision was dated 12 September 2025. The complaints concerned employment terms, rest periods, public holiday and annual leave entitlements, Sunday work compensation and unfair dismissal. The respondent attended and said there was no case to answer in the complainant’s absence. The adjudication officer found the complaints not well-founded in the absence of direct evidence.
