WRC rules it cannot hear discrimination complaint against Ladbroke Coral Group

The Workplace Relations Commission ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear Oskar Hangurbadzo’s Equal Status complaint against Ladbroke Coral Group, finding it was lodged outside the six-month time limit. The decision was dated 28 October 2025. Hangurbadzo alleged race and Traveller community discrimination at one of the group’s betting shops. He said he sent an ES 1 Form on 1 May 2024, received no response and waited before filing. The company argued the complaint was late and said the form had gone to its UK entity rather than the Irish company. The adjudication officer found no reasonable cause for extending the time limit.
