WRC finds against airport security trainee in terms complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Olufeyi Akinmola's complaint against Daa Airport Services Limited not well founded. The decision was dated 10 December 2025. Akinmola complained under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act after his employment as a trainee Airport Security Officer ended during security training. He argued that testing was unfair, not properly explained and outside his contract, and alleged racial prejudice. DAA said the contract set out the training and certification requirements. The adjudicator found the contract disclosed those requirements and no relevant change or penalisation. No award was recorded.
