The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Alberto Heras Aguilar €1,200 in compensation after finding New Orient Limited failed to provide written terms of employment when he started work. The decision was dated 14 July 2025. Heras Aguilar said he requested the terms several times and received them after referring his complaint. The company accepted that it had not provided them at the outset and said it later rectified the failure. Adjudication Officer Brian Dolan found the breach caused prejudice, including in relation to a disciplinary sanction about Heras Aguilar’s hours and shift finish.
