WRC rejects Leila Urazbaeva’s discrimination complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found Leila Urazbaeva’s Equal Status Act complaint against the Public Appointments Service was not well founded. The decision, dated 3 October 2025, found no prima facie case of discrimination and made no compensation award. Urazbaeva alleged that employment processes were not followed and that disciplinary matters were used when her probation was not confirmed. The service argued the complaint concerned employment and had been brought under the wrong legislation; the adjudicator agreed, and also found it was out of time.
