The Workplace Relations Commission upheld five complaints by Jean Marie Coumbassa against Bgs Security Ltd, in liquidation, in a decision dated 27 May 2026. The case concerned €9,198 gross wages left unpaid, €1,358.65 for accrued annual leave, breaches of daily and weekly rest rules, and failure to provide written terms of employment. The WRC awarded €1,000 for the daily-rest breach, €2,000 for the weekly-rest complaints and €3,013 for the missing terms.

Coumbassa worked as a static security officer from April to July 2024, often on 12- and 13-hour shifts across seven days. The adjudicator found he averaged 87.4 hours a week. The liquidator said it could neither confirm nor deny the claims and that no funds were available.
