WRC rules Ciaran Heuze’s unpaid notice pay complaint out of time

The Workplace Relations Commission ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear Ciaran Heuze’s Payment of Wages complaint against Flutter Entertainment Plc, which alleged he had not been paid for his notice period. Adjudication Officer Monica Brennan dated the decision 24 March 2025. Heuze said the issue arose when he resigned on 1 June 2023; he submitted his complaint on 20 November 2024. The officer found the alleged contravention was outside the time limit, even allowing for a possible extension. Flutter did not file a written response or appear at the hearing. The decision did not rule on whether notice pay was owed.
