The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Dining Experiences Ltd t/a Karen’s Diner to pay Sarah (Jackson) Butler €200 after finding she was not paid cash tips for her final week. The decision, dated 15 April 2025, partly upheld her Payment of Wages complaint. The employer did not attend the hearing. Butler also complained that electronic tips from her employment were not distributed. The WRC found that part of the complaint was out of time and refused an extension, noting she had access to information on the complaint process and time limit. The cash-tip finding concerned her uncontested evidence and last payslip, which showed no tips.
