The Workplace Relations Commission directed Express Safe Systems Limited t/a Express Security Systems to pay Maamar Boudene €700 after finding the company unlawfully withheld his holiday pay. In a decision dated 6 May 2025, the WRC rejected the overtime and on-call parts of his complaint. Boudene claimed the company withheld the pay over equipment he allegedly failed to return. The company accepted withholding it pending the return of a test monitor and labeller, believing it had a contractual right to do so. The WRC found no contractual term allowing the deduction.
