The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Maria Wilkinson €1018.40, equal to four weeks’ wages, after finding that Dining Experience Ltd Karen's Diner failed to honour an agreement to distribute customer service charges among staff. The decision was dated 11 March 2025.

Wilkinson said she and her colleagues were told they would share the charges, but she received none. The company did not attend the hearing. The adjudicator found the complaint was within the WRC’s time limit because the breach became clear when Wilkinson received her final salary without a payment for tips. The WRC found the agreement had not been honoured.
