The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Abul Kashem Golam Shahriar’s complaint that Cbm Ireland discriminated against him on racial grounds when it withdrew a conditional Finance Officer offer after reference checks. Adjudication Officer Brian Dalton’s decision was dated 9 July 2025. The WRC found the offer depended on satisfactory references and was withdrawn because a reference Shahriar supplied was considered insufficient. It ruled he had not established a prima facie case or shown that an Irish applicant would have been treated more favourably.
