The Workplace Relations Commission found that Applus Inspection Services Limited discriminated against former call centre agent Anne Doyle in the way it dismissed her after illness-related absence, and ordered €11,000 compensation. The decision was dated 24 September 2025.

The WRC also ordered €2,200 compensation after finding that Doyle was underpaid for untaken holidays. It rejected her minimum-notice complaint, finding she was not entitled to pay in lieu of notice; she withdrew her unfair dismissal complaint. The company did not attend the hearing, and the adjudication officer said Doyle had not supplied medical confirmation that would allow the company to consider a return on reduced hours.
