The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Vadim Krasko’s complaint that Dachser Ireland Limited penalised him by refusing his parental leave request while he was on sick leave. The decision, dated 5 March 2026, recorded no award.
Krasko argued the leave could be approved to start when he returned to work. Dachser said it could consider his request after his return. Adjudication Officer Michael McEntee concluded parental leave could not run at the same time as sick leave, particularly where the sick leave was extended.
